
On Thursday, City Lit Theater artistic director Terry McCabe announced the cast for “Fuente Ovejuna,” a classic Spanish drama published 400 years ago by Lope de Vega. McCabe will direct his own adaptation based on a literal translation by Stanley Appelbaum.
Members of the 16-person cast are Kristen Alesia (Pascuela), Brian Bradford (Frondoso), Ty Carter (Flores), Paul Chakrin (Juan Rojo), Dylan Connelley (Cimbranos/Musician), Carlyle DePriest (Jacinta), Richard Eisloeffel (Barrildo), Val Garcia (Mengo), Rob Grabowski (Esteban), Varris Holmes (The Commander), Jimmy Mann (Ortuno/Inquisitor), Dan McGeehan (Leonelo/Manrique), Daniel Pass (The Master), Carolyn Plurad (Laurencia), Elizabeth Rentfro (Queen Isabella/Musician) and Mark Tacderas (King Ferdinand).
The show will run Jan. 4-Feb. 17 at at City Lit Theatre, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.
