On Monday, Stage 773 announced its acquisition of Li’l Buds Theatre Company, a not-for-profit children’s theater organization based in the city. The change will be effective January 1, 2019.
Founded in 2005 by Jenny Lamb, Maggie Portman, and J. “Preddie” Predmore, Li’l Buds Theatre Company aims to educate children from across Chicago in the theater and performing arts through original and mainstream productions. It provides acting training through classes, workshops, camps and in-school residencies. Additionally, Li’l Buds produces two main stage shows a year with the support of professional actors.
