On Tuesday, TimeLine Theatre Company set the cast for the Chicago premiere of “Cardboard Piano,” Hansol Jung’s drama set amidst violent conflict in northern Uganda

Mechelle Moe will direct a quartet of actors, all making their TimeLine debut: Adia Alli, Kai Ealy, Kearstyn Keller and Freedom Martin.

The story follows the daughter of American missionaries and a local teenage girl as they prepare to exchange vows in a secret wedding ceremony, in spite of the violent reality surrounding them.

The show will play Jan. 9 – March 17 at TimeLine, 615 W. Wellington Ave.
