For the first time, sister attractions Madame Tussauds Orlando and Sea Life Orlando Aquarium will play host to a “sensory-friendly day.” It is in conjunction with Autism Speaks, an advocacy organization.
The International Drive attractions will adjust the lighting and sounds to reduce sensory triggers from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. There will also be quiet room / safe place for guests to use.
Tickets for the event will be at a 20 percent discount from the regular admission. Those will be available at the door or online using the promo code Sensory18 (Pick the Sept. 22 date). For tickets, go to madametussauds.com or visitsealife.com.
Madame Tussauds features replicas of famous people ranging from Walt Disney to Taylor Swift plus interactive moments and photo opportunities. Sea Life aquarium is home to hundreds of fish in creative, clear-tunnel tanks and educational displays. Both attractions are in the I-Drive 360 complex south of Sand Lake Road.
