There are many who are disparaging the anonymous OpEd piece in the New York Times. A person identifying themselves as a senior administration official wrote VERY disturbing things about the current President and his amorality. Some have suggested this is treasonous and if this official truly believed Trump was a danger to the republic the official should have stepped up, stated his or her case and resigned.
I have a different view. Because if the same thing had been said in the early ’70’s Mark Felt would never have guided Woodward and Bernstein and The Washington Post towards the crimes of the Nixon administration as Deep Throat.
