On Wednesday, the Neo-Futurists announced the lineup for their 30th season, complete with a run of their flagship show, “The Infinite Wrench.”
Mainstage Neo-Lab commissions will “Tangles and Plaques” created by Kirsten Riiber (Sept. 13-29) and the world premiere of Remember the Alamo created by Nick Hart (Feb. 28-April 27, 2019).

Outside of the Neo-Lab, programming will also include Lit Crawl Chicago 2018, coproduced with LitQuake Foundation (Sept. 22); “Best of The Infinite Wrench” (Nov. 30-Dec. 9); “60 Songs in 60 Minutes” created by Nick Hart and Andrew Tham (Dec. 13-15); “Tedium…and Other Sensations” written by Mickle Maher, adapted and performed by Neo-Futurist Ensemble Members Dan Kerr-Hobert, Lily Mooney and Trent Creswell and members of Mocrep, as part of The Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival (Jan. 17-26, 2019);
The company will also stage “The Egg Show: 30 Egg Plays in 60 Egg Minutes,” a special Mother’s Day fundraiser for the Chicago Women’s Health Center (May 12, 2019), along with “The Neo-Futurist Kitchen” art and performance festival (July 15-21, 2019).
There will also Neo-Lab development workshops for
“Comfortable Shoes” (Nov. 29; March 27, 2019); and ongoing performances of The Neo-Futurists’ flagship show “The Infinite Wrench” a series of two-minute plays for live audiences 50 weekends per year.
All performances will be held at The Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N. Ashland Ave.
