Get 89-cent glazed doughnuts for Stan’s 89th birthday

Stan Berman opened his first shop in Los Angeles in 1963. On Aug. 25, the nine Stan’s Donuts & Coffee locations across Chicago will honor Berman’s legacy on his 89th birthday with 89-cent glazed doughnuts (usually $1.95).

Feeling hungry? Or generous? Snag a dozen glazed donuts for $10 on that Saturday. Customers are encouraged to pre-order their dozens.

Until Labor Day, Stan’s is also offering a 50-cent glazed doughnut with the purchase of any cold brew drink. The “Afternooner” special is available daily from 12-4 p.m.
