Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

August is rushing right by, which means it’s time to squeeze out those last drops of summer before the temperature drops and stuff starts to change color.

For theater fans, the Broadway in Chicago summer concert in Millennium Park will offer one such opportunity. Bringing together performers from the upcoming season, the outdoor show will sling out the most anticipated numbers — hope your vocal chords are warmed up.

The gang’s all here — Cast members from “A Bronx Tale,” “Anastasia,” “The Book of Mormon,” “Cats,” “Come From Away,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Falsettos,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hello, Dolly!,” “Miss Saigon,” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” will all take to the stage for previews of the new season, with hosts ABC 7’s Janet Davies and Santino Fontana, star of the upcoming “Tootsie,” emceeing.

The event will begin at 6:15 p.m. at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, 201 E. Randolph St.

Get there early — the annual concert is one of the summer season’s biggest outdoor events. And be sure to leave the wine at home; no outside alcohol will be allowed at this event, though food is welcome.
