A public visitation for the late Stan Mikita will be held from Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the United Center atrium, the Blackhawks on Wednesday announced.
Parking will be available in Lot C between Madison Street and Warren Boulevard. Visitors should enter the United Center on the east side of the building.
In lieu of flowers, the Mikita family requests that donations be made to the Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association or the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation for AMITA Health Adventist St. Thomas Hospice (P.O. Box 130, Hinsdale, IL, 60522-0130).
Mikita, considered one of the greatest players in Blackhawks history, died Tuesday after a long illness. He was 78.
