On Wednesday, Kokandy Productions announced Allison Hendrix will step down as producing artistic director, a role she has occupied since the company formed in 2010.
“Allison has been a great influence on Kokandy Productions from the very beginning and the company wouldn’t be what it is today without her,” board president Scot Kokandy said in a press release. “Allison will remain on the board of directors and the board and I will be posting the position this week.”
“As so many storefront theatre makers know, the work is demanding and time-consuming, and I’ve reached a place where I need to take my energy and focus into my personal life and yoga teaching career,” Hendrix remarked in the release.
