The final day of Lollapalooza, which showcases Jack White and Odesza as headliners, welcomed attendees with steamy temps and sunny skies, once again. Here’s the scene so far:

Health check: Five people were arrested, 34 people were taken to hospitals and 19 citations were issued Saturday, the third day of Lollapalooza. Arrests and citations were up compared with the rest of the weekend, but the number of medical transports was down. Four of the arrests were for drugs and the fifth was for reckless conduct/resisting arrest; 18 of the citations were for trespassing and one was for flying a drone, according to the city Office of Emergency Management and Communications. Seven arrests, 23 citations and 119 medical transports were recorded during the first three days of Lollapalooza. Those numbers are down compared with the same period in 2017, when there were 16 arrests, 26 citations and 185 medical transports. New safety restrictions to prevent attendees from bringing in large bags and bottles of water may be helping to ease those numbers. The city also took steps Saturday to make sure attendees stayed cool and hydrated as temperatures soared during the festival. Water was handed out to festivalgoers waiting in lines, and extra buses were deployed so they could take a break from the heat. (Tracy Swartz)
