News flash: IHOP says it lied about changing its name so the chain could promote its new line of burgers.
To soften the blow, the restaurant will celebrate its 60th birthday with 60-cent short stacks of is famous flapjacks from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 17 at participating restaurants.
No coupon is necessary.
On Monday, the chain changed its Twitter handle from IHOB back to IHOP.
“That’s right, IHOP! We’d never turn our back on pancakes (except for that time we faked it to promote our new burgers),” the chain Tweeted.
Be sure to join the chain’s Pancake Revolution eClub and get THREE free meals for signing up.
