“Silent NO MORE,” a theatrical documentary featuring stories written and performed by folks with hearing loss, will have a special performance at the Goodman this summer. Along with live stories, there will be an accompanying Q&A session with cast members and audience members from the deafSign and deafSpeak communities.

Devised as a theatrical documentary, “ Silent NO MORE” features 11 cast members and diversifies the experiences of growing up with hearing loss. The performance will be followed by a discussion about the debate between the deaf community who sign and the deaf community who speaks.

The cast of “ Silent NO MORE” includes: Kathy Buckley, “America’s First Hearing Impaired Comedienne;” author Rebecca Alexander and alum of the No Limits Theater Group: John Autry II, Henry Greenfield David Hawkins, Ivy Lee and Johnny Palmer. Additional cast members include Enid Wizig, Iris Lee, Margoth Granados and Michelle Tang.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the Goodman Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn St.
