For National Fried Chicken Day on July 6, fast-casual restaurant Boxcar Betty’s (500 W. Madison St.) will give out free sandwiches with any monetary donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Located in the Ogilvie Transportation Center, the Charleston-based chain will give out a free fried chicken buttermilk biscuit sandwich for breakfast (6:30-8:30 a.m.). During dinner (4:30-6 p.m.), choose between a free Boxcar sandwich (pimiento cheese, peach slaw, pickles and spicy mayo) or the classic Betty (lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo).

Boxcar Betty’s will also be accepting donations all day.
