Everbody say yeah — “Kinky Boots” is slated for a one-week engagement at the Cadillac in January 2019.

The production held its world premiere in Chicago back in October 2012 before heading to Broadway. It then had another critically-acclaimed Chicago run in 2015, with freelance critic Kerry Reid writing, “‘Kinky Boots’ may totter on bunion-inducing heels, but its message is as comfortable and inviting as a favorite pair of fuzzy slippers.”

The musical unites four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (book) and musical icon Cyndi Lauper (score), telling the story Charlie Price, a young man out to refresh his family’s struggling shoe factory. He then finds inspiration in Lola, a performer in need of some sturdy pumps — the sex is in the heel, after all.

The production will run Jan. 22–27, 2019, at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph St. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.
