Authorities have released more details about the vehicle they say was in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Burbank that killed a 9-year-old boy and seriously injured his mother and younger sister.

In a brief update released Tuesday, Burbank police said they are looking for a 2007 or 2008 Ford Fusion sedan, possibly light gray or silver in color.

Caleb Bell, of the 8600 block of South Keating Avenue in Chicago, was crossing the street westbound with his mother, 29, and 6-year-old sister at 86th Street and Cicero Avenue in Burbank late Saturday night when they were struck by the vehicle, authorities said. The driver of the vehicle continued south on Cicero without stopping.

Bell was pronounced dead at 12:24 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run should call Burbank police at 708-924-7300.
