The year after It’s All Good in Zion opened, Ashley Thomas started working there through high school and college.

Through the years her parents, Rick and Barb Thomas, became chummy with the owners. And when those owners wanted to sell the place in 2016, the Thomases wanted to buy it.

“I love it!” said Thomas of her family’s business. “It’s a cool progression. My dad always wanted to own a place. He loves cooking and talking to people. And with me working here for so long, it seemed like a natural thing to do.”

It’s All Good serves breakfast until 11 a.m., with fresh egg dishes and a variety of baked items while supplies last. Weekend breakfast items include frittatas and quiche.

“I discovered I can bake,” Thomas said of the baked goods offered daily. She adds that paninis are also the specialty, along with 13 different drink syrups.

Sandwiches, wraps and paninis are offered from 11 a.m. until close.

Thomas also likes to try out new items on the menu. “We like to use weirder ingredients like goat cheese, salmon and prosciutto.” Her favorite meals are the breakfast burrito, and she makes it spicy with pepper jack cheese and hot sauce, as the menu recommends.

“And for lunch, the Mexican panini,” she said, adding that she always adds spicy hot sauce for a bolder taste. “I smell it and I’ve gotta have it.”

On the menu: Breakfast until 11 a.m., sandwiches served all day.

About the owners: Thomas holds a day job but helps out her parents, brother and aunt at It’s All Good, the place she worked at throughout high school and college. She’s 29 now.
