On Tuesday, Tony Award-winning actor Len Cariou, Starry Night Productions and Aruba Productions announced the Chicago staging of “Broadway and the Bard: an Evening of Shakespeare and Song,” a mashup of old-school monologues and new-school musicals conceived by Cariou, Barry Kleinbort and Mark Janas.

The show first made its off-Broadway premiere in 2016, offering an intimate exchange between the audience and Cariou, known for his role on “Blue Bloods” and his origination of male leads in two Sondheim productions.

All performances will take place at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., with previews beginning Wednesday, June 6, and a closing show Sunday, June 10.
