A man and teenage boy were robbed at gunpoint while walking to their car early Sunday morning in the South Loop, police said.

The pair, a 20-year-old and 16-year-old, were not reportedly injured. Two other males approached them about 1:57 a.m. in the 800 block of South Wabash Avenue and one showed a handgun, announcing a robbery, police said.

The robbers took the pair’s phones and keys, fleeing northbound on State Street in a burgundy Chevrolet Malibu, police said.

No one was in custody early Sunday morning as Area Central detectives investigated.
