Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Wednesday, the Windy City Playhouse announced the shows included in its 2018-19 season, which begins with an extension of Leslie Liautaud’s “Southern Gothic” that runs until December 9. The critically-acclaimed immersive production frequently sells out and was called “astonishing” by Chris Jones in his review.

“You and your 27 fellow audience members simply move around, or not, as you wish,” Jones writes. “Often, there is dialogue and action in two or more rooms simultaneously.”

The second show in the company’s lineup is “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn. Scott Weinstein will direct, with previews beginning January 9, 2019. The production will also be an immersive experience, with the actors sharing the stage with the audience.

The third and final production in the season will be Johnathan Caren’s “The Recommendation,” winner of the 2012 Craig Noel Award for Outstanding New Play, with previews beginning on May 1, 2019.

All programming will take place at 3014 W. Irving Park Rd.
