Dance for Life Chicago announced the lineup of companies for their August 18 benefit performance, marking the event’s 27th annual staging.

The partner dance companies that perform each year include Giordano Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and the Joffrey Ballet, this year joined by Hanna Brictson and Dancers, Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, Chicago Dance Crash and Nomi Dance Company. The concert also includes a work choreographed by Randy Duncan.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dancers’ Fund, which provides a wide range of support concerning health matters, housing, utilities, insurance, medication and travel in the dance community. The performance will be preceded by a gala at Hilton Chicago. Tickets go on sale May 18 by phone at 312-341-2300, online at chicagodancersunited.org or in person at the Auditorium Theatre box office.
