Sorry, kids. The Chicago Board of Education voted Wednesday to extend the school year by one day to make up for a brief vacation prompted by a powerful February storm that dumped about a foot of snow on the area.

That means the final day of classes will be Tuesday, June 19.

The board’s vote makes official an announcement the school district made earlier.
