One person was being questioned as a man was in critical condition after suffering several stab wounds in an attack in the Uptown neighborhood Sunday afternoon, police said.

The 41-year-old man suffered puncture wounds to the back and leg in the attack in the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue about 5:45 p.m., police said in a media notification.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, police said.

One “person of interest” was being questioned in the attack, police said.
