A 57-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in Dolton after an apparent hit-and-run, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Phillip Willis was pronounced dead at 2:38 a.m. at Franciscan Health hospital in Hammond, Indiana, according to the coroner’s office.
He was taken to the hospital after being hit in an accident that took place shortly after 2 a.m. on Sibley Boulevard near Evers Avenue, the coroner’s office said.

Dolton police were not available for comment.
