Chicago’s Solider Field has been announced as one of the host cities of the 2018 International Champions Cup taking place this summer.
The annual preseason tournament did not include Chicago in its 2017 edition after hosting from 2014 to 2016.
This year’s edition is slated to include the largest amount of teams in its history. Already announced are Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Sevilla, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Roma, AC Milan, Inter, Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain.
Also, for the first time, the ICC will also include women’s teams parallel to the men’s tournament, according to The New York Times.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 18 to July 30.
