Dylan Sikura, one of the top college players in the nation, has signed with the Blackhawks and will join the team immediately.
Sikura averaged more than 1½ points per game — 22 goals and 32 assists for 54 points in 35 games — and finished third in the NCAA in scoring as a senior with Northeastern this season. The 22-year-old forward is one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award as the country’s top collegiate player. The Blackhawks drafted Sikura in the sixth round in 2014.
Sikura will wear number No. 95. The team returns to the United Center for games against the Sharks on Monday and Jets on Thursday.
