A 36-year-old autistic man who went missing Thursday morning from a group home in Des Plaines has been found in good health in Chicago, police said.
The man was found in a Walgreens in the 900 block of Irving Park Road, Des Plaines police said in an email Thursday afternoon.
Police said it is believed the man used a kitchen window about 6:30 a.m. to leave the home near Golf and Rand roads.
In an earlier alert, police said they believed the man might be at a Walgreens, CVS or 7-Eleven store to try to get soda or snacks.
An earlier online version of this story incorrectly said the man went missing Wednesday.
