We need YOUR help to stop Asian carp!
Submit your letter and send a tweet to tell your lawmakers to take action at the Brandon Road Lock & Dam in Joliet now. Then please don’t forget to share the #BlockAsianCarp message on your social pages so your friends and family can help too.

Asian carp are just a one-day swim away from entering Lake Michigan, but it’s not too late to stop them. Your voice is needed!

The problem.
Silver and bighead carp, two types of invasive Asian carp, are steadily making their way up Illinois waterways toward Lake Michigan. If these dangerous invasive species successfully infiltrate the Great Lakes, they would immediately begin to wreak untold environmental and economic damage.

Support the Great Lakes Basin Partnership!
The new Great Lakes Basin Partnership to Block Asian Carp has launched a public education campaign to encourage policymakers and lawmakers to take action at the Brandon Road Lock & Dam in Joliet. The Partnership supports the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Tentatively Selected Plan, which offers a combination of solutions to reduce the risk of invasive carp from entering the Great Lakes. Our coalition includes recreation, environmental, conservation, business and civic organizations, elected officials, policymakers and thousands of concerned citizens throughout the Great Lakes. We believe the Army Corps’ recommendations represent the most viable option to block Asian carp.

With your help we can stop this disaster.
