Authorities said a Highland, Ind., man died after being hit by a car early Saturday morning.
Highland police were called to the intersection of Highway and Kennedy avenues around 2:20 a.m. for the accident, according to a Lake County Coroner release. The pedestrian involved, Thomas V. Jamison, Jr., 47, was pronounced dead a short time later, the release said.
Jamison died as a result of blunt force trauma, according to the release.
The Lake County Crime Scene Investigation Unit assisted the coroner and Highland officers, the coroner’s release said.
No further information was immediately available.
