Veteran defender Ashley Cole has re-signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy, the club announced Wednesday.
Cole, 37, will return for his third season with the Californian club.
“We are very excited that Ashley will be returning for us in 2018. He’s been a tremendous leader for our club,” said Galaxy Head Coach Sigi Schmid in a club statement.
“He’s shown he can be successful in this league and we’re confident that will continue in the season ahead.”
The former Arsenal and Chelsea wing back has made 55 appearances in two seasons with the Galaxy since arriving in 2016 from Roma.
