I can’t let the year end without thanking the construction workers and the entire team for a job well done on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway. I drove from the Devon Avenue entrance to Illinois Route 53 throughout the years of construction. Only a few of my commutes were greatly affected during all that time. I was amazed how progress often seemed so quick — almost overnight! This is a road of the future. The electronic warning signage is impressive and the five available lanes make for a very easy and quick commute. Thank you to all folks who worked so hard day after day on this project.
