“You are tearing me apart, Lisa!”
If that line means nothing to you, it’s about time you see “The Room.”
Everyone’s talking about Tommy Wiseau’s nonsensical, but glorious, cult classic thanks to “The Disaster Artist,” which tells the story of how the movie got made in the first place.
“The Room” is a movie you have to see to truly understand — even then you still won’t get it, exactly — and Fathom Events is bringing the film to theaters throughout Chicagoland at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10.
Catch the movie for the first time or the tenth, plus get a sneak peek at the trailer for “Best F(r)iends,” a new movie starring Wiseau and his “The Room” costar, Greg Sestero. We can’t promise you’ll love it, but you will be entertained.
Check out the theater locations below, and visit fathomevents.com for tickets. If you miss this one-off screening, Music Box Theatre typically has midnight showings — bring your own spoons, footballs and snarky commentary. Their next showing is Friday, Jan. 5.
