Atlanta United is closing in on a trade to acquire Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe.
ESPN FC’s Jeff Carlisle reports the potential deal would involved Portland receiving &750,000 in General Allocation Money, $300,000 in Targeted Allocation Money, and an amount between $500,000 and $600,000 in incentive-based compensation.
The deal would be the largest in MLS history between franchises, breaking the record set in 2017, when Orlando City agreed to sent upwards of $1.6 million to Sporting Kansas City for striker Dom Dwyer.
Carlisle also reports Portland will receive a international roster spot, and a percentage of any future transfer involving Nagbe.
