A Bristol woman was injured after she was struck by a vehicle while she was walking through the parking lot of Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Lisa Horton was walking through the parking lot to her vehicle Thursday night when a midsize maroon vehicle “came out of nowhere” and struck her, she told police.

Horton said that the vehicle’s wheels went over her leg after she was knocked to the ground. As she began screaming, the vehicle stopped, reversed and quickly drove out of the parking lot, she told police.

Police said Horton was able to drag herself to her vehicle and drive herself to the emergency room of the hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.

The offending driver was not identified.
