An Aurora man was injured after he was struck by a vehicle while walking through a gas station parking lot in the city.
According to Aurora police, officers responded to a gas station in the 2900 block of East New York Street around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a man who had just been struck.

Margarito Cepeda, no age or address provided by police, told police that he was walking from the pumps to enter the Circle K market when he looked down at his wallet and was struck by a vehicle that was backing out of a parking spot.
Cepeda was knocked to the ground and taken to an Aurora hospital for hip pain. The driver of the vehicle, who was not ticketed, said she looked behind her prior to backing out and did not see Cepeda.
