A 42-year-old man who was fatally shot on the West Side Friday has been identified by authorities.

Curley L. Harvey was shot about 2:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of West Jackson Boulevard in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 4:04 p.m. the same day.

An autopsy determined Harvey died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Harvey, who lived in the 0-100 block of North Lockwood Avenue, had been driving east on Jackson when someone in a silver sedan pulled up next to him and started shooting, police said.
