Woman found with head stuck in fence hospitalized in critical condition

A woman was in critical condition after she was found with her head stuck in a wrought-iron fence Friday afternoon, according to officials.

The woman, 64, was found in the 1600 block of West Fullerton Avenue in the Lathrop Homes neighborhood, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman said. She was found injured about noon, police said.

She was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.

Chicago police also responded to the scene and said it appeared to be an accidental injury.
