Two men were killed and three others were wounded in shootings in Chicago between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday.

The most recent homicide happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the South Side.

A 30-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the 8100 block of South Colfax Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The other fatal shooting happened about 4:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of South Sacramento Avenue in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The man was taken by ambulance to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m., police said.

The man was identified as Armando Reyes, of the 2900 block of West 38th Place, according to the Cook County mediacl examiner’s office.

A witness told police the 28-year-old man was standing by his car in an alley when someone fired shots, then fled in a light-colored SUV.

Other shootings

A 38-year-old man was shot in both arms and the stomach around 10 p.m. in the South Side’s Englewood neighborhood, police said. The man was in a vehicle in the 1100 block of West 74th Street when someone fired from a white Buick, according to police. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition.

24-year-old man was shot in the leg around 6:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Homan Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said. The victim told authorities a group of men pulled up in a light-colored SUV and began firing, hitting him in the right thigh.

Around 6:15 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the torso in the 3000 block of South Keeler Avenue in the West Side’s Little Village neighborhood. Police said he was walking by an alley when someone in a light-colored van fired at him. He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

No one was in custody in any of the shootings.
