When the Blackhawks play on consecutive days, goaltender Corey Crawford typically sits out one of the games.
But even though Crawford started Saturday night here against the Wild and the Hawks were set to play the Canadiens at home on Sunday, coach Joel Quenneville did not rule out starting Crawford both games.
Crawford has great career numbers against his hometown team (8-0-2, 1.49 goals-against average) and backup Anton Forsberg is coming off a rough outing in his last start against the Avalanche in which he allowed five goals before Crawford took over.
Forsberg said he has done his best to try to erase that start from his mind, even though he has had a week to stew over it without getting another chance to play.
“It has not changed me as a goalie,” Forsberg said. “It’s just try to forget about it and move on, work on my game every day and not do anything differently. One bad game isn’t going to change anything. Keep working on details and just keep playing, relax and make it simple.”

Quenneville said allowing Forsberg a chance to shake off that outing was “part of the equation” when deciding whom to play. The Hawks have another set of games on consecutive days next weekend when Forsberg also could play. Forsberg has allowed 11 goals in three starts.
“I can’t really do anything about it,” Forsberg said. “Just keep working on my game. It worked before, so it’s not like I did anything different that game. It’s just one of those games.”
Feeling right on left: Winger Alex DeBrincat has played the last few games on the top line with Jonathan Toews and Richard Panik. After playing most of the season on the right wing, DeBrincat, a right-handed shot, has moved back to the left, the position he played in the Ontario Hockey League when he scored 167 goals the last three seasons.
“It helps getting the puck off quicker and it helps entering the zone,” DeBrincat said. “You have a lot more options and do a lot more things on that side. I’ve just kind of been there for two to three years now. I’m pretty comfortable on that side.”
