The man, who police say was driving a green, four-door sedan, approached the girls in the 6900 block of South Merrill Avenue, police said.
The man first asked for directions and was ignored, then again tried to get the girls’ attention. The two girls, frightened, walked away and informed authorities, police said Saturday.
The man was described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s and had a beard. He was wearing a black-and-white hat.
Those with information were asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
