Officials locked down Tinley Park High School Friday after receiving a threat from a student, officials said.
The school was locked down from 8:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Assistant Village Manager Pat Carr said.
Officials did not provide details on the threat.
“The students and community are safe,” Carr said.
Carr said he didn’t know if the student was in custody and added that he couldn’t comment if he did because the student is a juvenile.
School officials didn’t respond to repeated requests for comment.
