Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

No waiting til next year. It’s already here. The Foo Fighters come out of the gate as the first Wrigley concert of 2018 with the band’s Monday announcement of a July show.

The band’s “Concrete and Gold” tour, which kicked off on Oct. 12 in Washington, D.C., will come to Wrigley on July 29. The band is touring behind the album of the same name, which is working its way down the Billboard Top 200 in the wake of its Sept. 15 release.

The band recently canceled three shows due to a family emergency. No other information was available about the type of emergency. The band last played Wrigley in August of 2015, on the “Sonic Highways” tour.

The “Concrete and Gold” boutique pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 for Capitol One cardholders. General on-sale starts at 10 a.m. Nov. 10 through the Chicago Cubs website.
