
One man was killed and 10 others were wounded in shootings on the South, Far South and West sides since late Saturday morning, police said.
In the homicide, 25-year-old Stephen McCray was killed in the 7900 block of South Manistee Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood just before 5:55 p.m., police said.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead, police said.
The man was in front of a home when someone came out of a nearby gangway and shot him before running off, police said. No one was in custody.
McCray lived on the block where he was killed, the medical examiner said.
Most recently, a 27-year-old man was shot in the right thigh in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the South Side, police said. He was shot in the 4700 block of South Western Avenue about 5:35 a.m. Sunday and went in a private vehicle to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.
Earlier, a 27-year-old man was shot in the buttock in the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the Far South Side about 11 p.m., police said. He was standing in an alley in the 9800 block of South Carpenter Street when he heard gunfire and realized he was hit. He went in a private vehicle to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, where his condition was stabilized.

In the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side, a 27-year-old was found shot in the leg on a porch in the 200 block of West 109th Place, police said. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized. He is “highly uncooperative” and not providing details of the shooting, police said.
On the West Side, a 19-year-old man was shot in the right foot in the Lawndale neighborhood about 10:10 p.m., police said. He refused medical treatment at the scene in the 3100 block of West Roosevelt Road and was being uncooperative, police said.
In the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, a 19-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting just before 7 p.m. in the 12300 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said. He was at Advocate Christ Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the chest. Police were called to the block following a report of a person shot and found the man with gunshot wounds. No one was in custody.

Earlier, a 50-year-old man was left in critical condition following a shooting about 6:20 p.m. in the 5500 block of West Corcoran Place, police said in a media notification. He was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he was being treated for gunshot wounds to the chest. The man was walking when a gray sedan drove up and someone inside opened fire, hitting him, police said. No one was in custody.
Just before 4 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Whipple Street, two men where standing outside when a vehicle pulled up and someone fired in their direction, police said. A 29-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. Another man, 46, was shot the abdomen and got himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he listed in critical condition, police said.
Two other men were shot shortly after 11:15 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Millard Avenue. An 18-year-old was shot in his shoulder, and the second victim, 22, suffered a wound to the ankle. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital, where they were listed in good condition, police said.
Police were investigating.
