A man who was shot to death in the South Shore neighborhood last week has been identified, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Police were called to the 2600 block of East 75th Street around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 1, where Tommie L. Jones was pronounced dead at 10:36 a.m. after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Jones lived about three miles away in the 7700 block of South Champlain Avenue, officials said.
A 26-year-old woman, who was shot in the back, also was found at the initial scene and was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
