Two firefighters were treated for injuries sustained during a extra-alarm fire Monday afternoon at a vacant Orland Park building, authorities said.

The call came at about 1:30 p.m. for a large two-story building fire near 108th Avenue and Oakland Drive, according to the Orland Fire Protection District.

District spokesman Ray Hanania said the two firefighters were released later that afternoon after being treated for heat exhaustion at a local hospital and were “doing well.”

The cause of the fire was under investigation, he said.
