Highland Police are continuing to investigate a fight that broke out between two high school students on Friday.
The fight escalated from a dispute over a damaged cell phone, said Highland Police Commander John Banasiak said.

He declined to identify the two male students, because they are juveniles.
“It was about an old incident,” Banasiak said. “Words were exchanged. It was not a fresh event from Friday.”
The school’s resource officer notified the department of the incident around 3:26 p.m, he said. The officer is in the process of completing a police report.
Superintendent Brian Smith said neither student was seriously injured, but declined to comment if they would face disciplinary action such as suspension or expulsion.
The school would “never comment on anything, any fights,” he said. “We obviously would handle it as we would through our policies in place and through the law.”
