La Liga side Las Palmas announced the signing of Pako Ayestarán as new manager through the end of the season.
Ayestarán, 54, replaces Manolo Márquez, who resigned from the post on Tuesday.
“UD Las Palmas and Pako Ayestarán have reach an agreement this afternoon for the Basque to be the new manager for the remainder of the season,” read a statement published by the club.
Ayestarán last had a brief stint managing Valencia in 2016, accumulating only three wins in 12 matches.
He will be officially introduced Thursday at the Gran Canaria stadium.
