A suspect sought in a bank robbery in La Grange may have been involved in seven other bank robberies in 2017 in Chicago suburbs, according to the FBI.

The robbery in La Grange occurred mid-day Monday at a Bank of America at the intersection of 47th Street and Gilbert/Willow Springs Road. The man made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The La Grange Police Department reported that a man passed a note demanding money to a teller at Bank of America, 1425 W. 47th Street at 1:35 p.m.

No weapon was displayed and no threat of violence was made, according to a news release.

The teller told police the man got into a vehicle and left the area. No description of the vehicle or which way he fled was provided.

Police said the suspect is described as a white man, about 6-feet tall, and between 35 and 40 years old. He has a receding hair line and was wearing blue sunglasses, dark pants, a dark jacket and had bandages on his fingertips.

Garrett Croon, an FBI spokesperson, said the man may be involved in other robberies that took place on the following dates:

Jan. 12, 2017, at 4:07 p.m. – Fifth Third Bank, 2323 63rd St., Woodridge

Feb. 3, 2017, at 5:13 p.m. – Fifth Third Bank, 1645 Larkin Ave., Elgin.

June 30, 2017, at 4:47 p.m. – Chase Bank, 175 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove.

July 22, 2017, at 1:50 p.m. – Fifth Third Bank, 7150 Mannhiem Road, Rosemont.

July 28, 2017, at 5:38 p.m. – Fifth Third Bank, 845 S. Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines

Aug. 19, 2017, at 1:15 p.m. – Chase Bank, 223 East Roosevelt Road, Lombard

Sept. 2, 2017, at 11:40 a.m. – First American Bank, 830 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn.

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading directly to an arrest of the suspect.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
