It isn’t an Emmy Award, but “Shameless” star Emmy Rossum recently received a high honor in the Chicago culinary world.

Beatrix, a posh restaurant-coffeehouse with locations in Streeterville, Fulton Market and River North, last week named Rossum’s favorite pastry for her: Emmy’s Gluten Free Cream Cheese Coffee Cake ($2.95).

“Best day ever. Beatrix in (Chicago) named my favorite pastry in my honor,” Rossum tweeted.

A Beatrix representative said Rossum has been an “awesome Beatrix supporter, dining with us for breakfast, and sharing experiences via social media.”

Rossum, 31, was in town for a few days in late July and early August to film scenes for the upcoming eighth season of “Shameless,” which is scheduled to premiere Nov. 5. “Shameless,” which follows the drama of a dysfunctional Chicago family, typically films in Chicago for two weeks each season and the rest of the time in the Los Angeles area.

Rossum plays stubborn older sister Fiona Gallagher. William H. Macy also stars on the Showtime series.
