Two-Michelin-star restaurant Tru will close its doors permanently, according to a statement released Tuesday afternoon by parent restaurant group Lettuce Entertain You.
“Tru will be closing, serving its last service on Saturday, October 7, 2017,” the statement read. “Lettuce Entertain You is working on the plan to re-concept the space and we look forward to sharing this with our guests. The team at Tru is honored by the support and accolades we have received over the years.”
Opened in 1999 under founding chef Rick Tramonto, Tru received its second Michelin star just last year, under executive chef Anthony Martin. No other details about the shutter were given, but we will update as we learn more.
